The Deer Park Club first partnered the VTCA as Naming Rights Sponsor for our VTCA Under 21 Representative teams and VTCA Women’s Division from 2017/18. The Western Sports Centre secured the Naming Rights Sponsorship of the Steve McNamara Shield Division 2 in season 2021- 2022, which will now made it the Western Sports Centre / Steve McNamara Shield Division 2.
The Western Sports Centre are situated at Unit 2, 310 Foleys Rd Derrimut. The Centre provides an indoor net facility with nine lanes, three of which have Bola Bowling Machines, they have a retail store selling all brands of cricket equipment, bat repairs and they do a bat knocking in service (No more banging for hours with a wooden mallet), they run a cricket academy for juniors, private cricket coaching for those wanting to improve their game as well as team building games and other regulation indoor sports.
This is a serious venue for cricketers from those just new to the game or to those who have played at the highest level.
