The Victorian Turf Cricket Association are thrilled to announce we have acquired a new Corporate Partner which will be a great asset to our member clubs now and in the future.
The Western Sports Centre have secured the Naming Rights Sponsorship of the Steve McNamara Shield Division 2 for at least the next three seasons, which will now make it the Western Sports Centre / Steve McNamara Shield Division 2.
On completion of the deal VTCA President Steve McNamara commented, “From an association viewpoint I am proud to see another quality company recognise the exceptional product we have within the VTCA, competitive, fiercely fought cricket which is entertaining to watch. Western Sports Centre displayed from the outset their willingness to get a deal done and specifically targeted Division two as the division they really wanted.
Having the Board bestow the honour of attaching my name to that division a couple of years ago, blew me away and was a thrill beyond belief, so it is with great pride I look upon that division. To now share it with a company based in the Western Suburbs, whose business is essentially cricket – I really don’t think there could have been a better fit”.
For those not familiar with the Western Sports Centre, they are situated at Unit 2, 310 Foleys Rd Derrimut. The Centre provides an indoor net facility with nine lanes, three of which have Bola Bowling Machines, they have a retail store selling all brands of cricket equipment, bat repairs and great for this time of year, they do a bat knocking in service (No more banging for hours with a wooden mallet), they run a cricket academy for juniors, private cricket coaching for those wanting to improve their game as well as team building games and other regulation indoor sports.
“Western Sports Centre is delighted to be associated with the VTCA. WSC has always committed to our local cricket clubs and cricket associations. We are looking forward to serving all our VTCA teams and players in the region.
Thanks to the VTCA members and Board for giving us an opportunity as a corporate sponsor to serve the association,” said Rajesh Singh the Western Sports Centre Managing Director, after the agreement was signed.
VTCA President Steve McNamara added, “I urge our clubs to support WSC with your preseason training net hire, they will certainly go out of their way to look after you and they will not be beaten on their equipment sales. Once this current lockdown is over, go and have a chat with the boys at the Western Sports Centre”.
